Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil, organic, steam distilled, 5 ml.

Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil, organic, 5 ml.

Cinnamon is often used as a bactericide or for lowering blood sugar. It is also antifungal and antimicrobial. It is irritating and should not be used on skin; however, it can be used to purify air and reduce risks from airborne pathogens. It can also be used as a flavoring or to relieve abdominal bloating and flatulence. It combines exceptionally well with orange essential oil.

Clary Sage Essential Oil, organic, 5 ml.

Clary sage is a plant with wide commercial and medicinal uses. Basically, it is antispasmodic and thus relieves cramps, but it is somewhat stimulating to estrogen production so this fact should be noted by those seeking to avoid such oils. For the same reason, it is something for menopausal women to consider. It is a tonic for digestion as well as the kidneys.

Clove Bud Essential Oil

Clove Bud Essential Oil, organic, 5 ml

Clove bud oil is most commonly used for tooth aches but is very antimicrobial and antifungal. It is an excellent respiratory and cardiovascular aid. There is some research suggesting it normalizes thyroid function. If diluted (1% essential oil), clove oil can be used on the skin for acne, warts, scars, and parasites. It blends well with basil and cinnamon as well as lavender.

Lavender Therapeutic Quality Essential Oil

Lavender, Therapeutic Quality Essential Oil, 5 ml.

Lavender is one of the best known essential oils. It was added to bath water in Roman times and is associated with both cleanliness and deeper forms of hygiene, such as wound care, including serious abscesses. It is antispasmodic and soothing and is believed to lower high blood pressure and relieve headaches. It is non-toxic and non-irritating and blends well with lemon and peppermint when taken to reduce spasms and relax nerves.

Lavender essential oil can be added to shampoo and/or conditioner — approximately one drop per ounce — as well as to ice cream, cheesecake, and rice pudding and many other culinary dishes. It imparts nuance and interest and lengthens the shelf life of the foods, but a little is better than too much.

Contents: certified organic steam distilled essential oil of Lavendula angustifolia from Bulgaria.

Myrrh Essential Oil, 5 ml.

Myrrh is a highly aromatic and marvelous essential oil; however, due to its viscosity, it cannot be used in a nebulizing diffuser. It is generally used topically on conditions such as athlete's foot, eczema, hemorrhoids, and jock itch. It is both anti-infective and antifungal. The use of myrrh oil for wound healing dates back to Greek times. It is astringent and is therefore used to stop bleeding and tighten skin and gums. It can be applied directly to the gums (in tiny amounts) and added to shampoo to tighten the roots of hair and retard hair loss. It can be massaged into the skin to relieve spasms. It is, of course, used to uplift the spirits and align with one's divine nature. It blends well with frankincense, ginger, and other oils made from spices.

Ravintsara Essential Oil, organic, 5 ml.

Ravintsara is a strong anti-infective and antiseptic oil . It is light and has an energizing effect on the mind, relieving both fatigue and depression. It is nontoxic and blends well with eucalyptus, citrus oils, and spices.

Tea Tree Therapeutic Quality Essential Oil

Tea Tree Essential Oil, Ecocert Organic, 5 ml.

Tea Tree, is a very powerful antiseptic and insect repellent. It is analgesic and sedative. It is said to aid recovery from heart attacks, but mainly it is used on skin conditions, everything from acne and athlete"s foot to Candida albicans, chicken pox, herpes, and ringworm. It is antiseptic to the urinary tract and promotes flow of urine. It is a mood elevator and therefore helps combat both fatigue and depression. It combines well with cinnamon, eucalyptus, lemon, and peppermint.

When using topically, a 10% solution has been shown to be quite effective. Consider adding tea tree to a carrier oil such as jojoba before applying directly to the skin. Use 12 drops per ounce of carrier.

Thyme Essential Oil, organic, 5 ml.

Thyme can be used internally or externally. It is antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidant, and vermifugal (especially against hookworms.) Thyme has been used for thousands of years as a culinary as well as medicinal herb. It is a common ingredient in mouthwashes and retards plaque formation and gingivitis. You can combine thyme with rosemary, lemon, or tea tree.

Wild Oregano Therapeutic Quality Essential Oil

Wild Oregano Essential Oil, organic, 5 ml.

Wild oregano oil is one of the truly important essential oils. It is an excellent parasiticide and is anti-infective and antifungal. It supports immunity in the face of a host of microbes and toxins. It is very potent and is nearly always used diluted, particularly when applied externally. It should not be used during pregnancy. It can be blended with other essential oils or herbal extracts. Try it with lemon.
